Traditional Fruit Pudding Mix

A complete fruit pudding mix loaded with pimento, cinnamon and ginger.


Ingredients

• Fruit pudding mix – 1kg

• Currants – 260g

• Sultanas – 120g

• Mixed peel – 18g

• Beef suet – 330g

• Water – 672g

(Makes a 2400g batch)


Method

• Mix pudding mix with minced beef suet.

• Add currants, sultanas and mixed peel – mix thoroughly.

• Slowly add water and mix until a sticky consistency.

• Loosely fill into casings or muslin to allow for expansion.

• Steam or boil for 50-60 mins and allow to cool before slicing.


Supplied in a 1kg pack (2400g batch) with 2 x clear pudding casing.
