Powdered Gelatine, Premium Quality, Grade A - 200g

Powdered gelatine is colourless, tasteless and odourless ingredient ideal for sweet and savoury dishes.

Gelatine has many uses in the kitchen. Its ability to turn liquid into a gel makes it vital for setting sweet and savoury jellies ( you need 3 tsp of powdered gelatin to set 500ml of liquid). 

This Gelatine has a usage rate of 10% so for 500ml of water use 50g of powdered gelatine.


For perfect lump-free results, follow this method to dissolve gelatine powder before adding to cheesecake, jelly and other dishes.

  • Place cold water in a small bowl and sprinkle with gelatine while whisking with a fork. Set aside for 5 minutes or until spongy.
  • Stand the bowl in a heatproof bowl of hot water and stir until the gelatine dissolves. Never boil gelatin, as it can become stringy.
  • Cool slightly, before adding to the mixture you want to set. Both mixtures should be a similar temperature to avoid any lumps.
Never boil as this destroys the ability for the gelatine to set, use the lowest temperature possible to dissolve it and heat for the shortest time.
